I see no more likelihood of air getting in the tee than in any other connection. You are increasing the odds of installing one incorrectly because there are three more connection points, but I've never had a proplem and I've been doing it for years. I always safety wire all my fuel lines on and have never had a leak...except when I accidentally used a plastic tee when I thought it was nylon. It lasted all of a couple of hours before disintegrating from the gas. Luckily I had test run it at home and it had already fallen apart before I tried to fly.
