Thanks Chad. Forgive my ignorance but trying to absorb as much electric information as possible. Would it be possible to run the Pletty 30 10 EVO on a smaller prop, say a 19x12 at a higher RPM ?? I guess what I am saying is I don't understand the KV ratings and how they apply to motor / prop combos. Would the motor spin the smaller prop at sufficient speed to get good flight performance ?? I have yet to find a KV rating on the 30 10 EVO although the Plettenburg web site does show figures with a ?? 19x12 prop.

Hi Ed
The Evo is geared toward the larger props, the kV is 220, but it is also a lower pole count than the old 30-10 so that affects things as well.
I have a 19x12w here, I can put it on this weekend and give it a run and see what it will do and let you know. My guess would be 6500+ ish, which would be a bit marginal in my experience. For smaller props I think the 20x13 is a nice choice....not the huge power of the big props but still very good and a lower draw on the packs as well.
The website values are roughly 400-500 rpm lower than what I have tested when comparing at the same voltages....why that is I do not know.
