You can, however it is not advisable. A retract servo will shut off at the end of each cycle where as a regular servo won't. This cut's down on the current draw and willl not drain your battery as fast. A retract servo also travels a full 180 degree's and has a little more horsepower than a regular servo. Good uck, Dave
