My understanding is the Hitec stuff works with either JR or Futaba. You'll be fine. They one thing I think happens is the servos go in opposite directions as they would with a Futaba. Either mount the servos the other way or change it in your radio. Should be a problem. And most of the time the Hitec servos come with a universal plug that fits JR or Futaba.

I've built 4. They each got a bit lighter. I think I just paid more attention to the details. I don't use wheel pants. My lightest one weighs 5lbs 12ozs. My heaviest one was 6lbs 4 ozs. All of them were with the Super Saito 82.

The lighter they are the better they flat spin land.
