I am new to this RC Nitro stuff and just bought a used MT2 18SS and found that the rear turnbuckle was replaced with a stock MT2 turnbuckle.
Any idea what I should get to replace it with an adjustable one?
Where is the best place to buy new ones?

Welcome to the forum.
Being HPI only sells them in sets I would go here type turnbuckle in the search and see if you can fine a pair the right length so you do not have to buy a whole set.
