One last question; olde tyme wisdom indicates that one should always lubricate both ends of the con rod before the first run. In fact Boca Bearings sells a fancy lubricant (read that, expensive) for the purpose. Anyway, my instinct is to use that or sewing machine oil on the ball joint before striking with the sledge (OK, the first light tap. Youse guys are SO picky). Here's the question, do youse-all tap dry or wet?
