I finally ran a radar gun on my modified mt2.. (t-maxx wheels and modded axles) and the best I can get is 33mph... I ran this before the mod and hit 46 with the os18... everything feels tighter than it did before, so I'm pretty sure thats the problem.. I have to figure out what is binding now... just doesn't have that loose sloppy feeling that the original did..
One thing I noticed is that the engine doesn't seem to scream like it used to... Its not the engine, thats tuned great... I have several and I know how they should sound... It still pulls the fronts off on takeoff then accelerates ok, but not like it used to... it wont shift into 2nd gear no matter what I try.. I didn't loosen the 2nd gear enough to start in 2nd.. I may try that tonight... If thats not the problem, then I guess I'll rip the whole thing apart and check everything again... Any suggestions anyone?[&o]
