Default RE: Tamiya MAx Climber TLT - help needed

ORIGINAL: izzy

I am about to purchase this kit
can any one shed some light on what is needed

especially what is a good ESC with reverse

what motor is recomended ( 1 for speed and 2 for crawling )
what else is needed to complete this

thanks
Izzy
For an esc I would get a Novak xrs.
A motor for speed, depends, A 15 turn 540 can is your limit with that esc. But for crawling, a 55 or 65 turn motor will work great. I'll make a list thing of what al is needed.

Motor: 15 turn limit for speed, 55-65 turn for crawling
Esc: Novak Xrs, 15 turn liit with a 540 can
Battery:If it is the max climber version, then a stick pack will work. If you had 4200 mah bats in there and 55-65 turn motor, you could get atleast an hour of run time.
servo 1:Just any full size servo, probably something from hitec would be good
Servo 2:Same servo just in the back. You don't need the servo in the back but it helps you crawl a lot.
Reciever:Any 2-3 channel reciever.(3 channel if you use the servo in the back).
Radio:ANy 2-3 channel radio.(3 channel if you use the one in the back).
