Not to disagree with you about the YS...OK..yes, I am disagreeing with you. The 1.60DZ i'm running now is EVERY bit as easy to use as my 1.40RXs were, and I had as many flights on them as anyone. I learned a valuable lesson though at the 2005 NATS. You can NOT fly the upper classes competitively with the 1.40..it just doesnt have the power any longer on those hot Muncie days. The other 51 weeks of the year they are fine. I judged the FAI semi's this year as well and Mike Harrison was HURTING on power as well as a few others. If you talk to them they say they had plenty, but watching them fly they were definitely lacking on the Vertical Rolling S. the OS 1.40RX is a great motor and great for the lower classes, but at the NATS you better hope you have 25% nitro and a fresh rebuild and you are still marginal on the really hot days.
