RE: The new Lanier Edge 87"
-Bonedoc---Almost have all the parts to finish this bird--weighed everything except throttle servo, rx, fuel lines, motor, muffler and prop---weight came out to 12 lbs 3 ounces--have a zdz super 80-supersonic pitts muffler-nx 26-10 prop--petes tailwheel on the way--I figure the engine at 4 lbs 6 oz--prop at 6 oz-tailwheel I'm not sure--muffler I have no idea what it weighs----finished weight should be around 18.5--19 lbs----used 5625's on ailerons--5955's on rudder and elevators--probably a 5625 on throttle---smart-fly powerexpander and smart-fly optical cutoff--3 2400 lions--used a combo of Dubro and Hangar 9 hardware for control linkages and horns--I was planning on using an Evolution 58 for power until I saw the deal Troy Built Models has on the Super 80--too good to pass up even if it is a little heavier---a couple more weeks ( if I can stay away from work long enough ) and I should have it in the air ( and maybe it will cool off weatherwise just a little )--will post back as progress continues--relly not sure how it came out so light--weighed on a good scale--but it has been sitting in my shop where the inside temp gets over 95-100 everyday--the balsa is more like kindling I suppose
