Default RE: I've about had it with this engine (YS63)

Again no dice. A club member and I just spent about 3 hours chasing settings on this engine to no avail. IT's just plain erratic. Sometimes you think it's fixed, then it loads up and won't advance. Sometimes after you shut it off it's dripping fuel out of the carb, sometimes not. Sometimes after an otherwise perfect flight and landing, I'll add throttle to taxi back to the pits and it just sits there and loads up and takes 20 seconds to get enough rpm to move it forward in the grass. The only thing that is constant is the detonating, which will not go away even after trying three different fuels, all fuels meet YS requirements. Valves are adjusted to spec. I'm very frustrated. If this were a car the lemon law would kick in. Three times for the same problem is crazy. To top it off my warranty runs out tomorrow. I don't wanna get screwed on warranty work so I'm gonna send it in. Thanks for your time Dave. Will call Richard ASAP tomorrow.
