RE: GMS Engine Tuning Problem
I tried the same thing last Sunday with my motors. Both the Tower 46 and the GMS 47. Although I did not fly the GMS, it seemed to fix my problems. It will idle forever and seems to throttle up now with no problems. Have to kill it by grabbing the spinner as it will not even die with the throttle closed. The Tower is the same. But I did fly it and did not have anymore problems. However, the heat was so bad, in excess of 100 degrees that lift on our airplanes was much diminished. Since the 47 was in my pride and joy I did not attempt a flight.
All in all I must agree that leaning out the low end needle seemed to be my answer.
I will see if I have a pic of my 47.
