Default M32....slow progress

School started back this week (4th grade science teacher), so I have not had the time to work with this project very much.

Using a stock Tamiya Sherman turret as the basis, I sanded and grinded until I had the general shape. Then, I added styrene card to create the look that I have, right now. I have been troubled by the seams where the plastic sections meet (C.A. to connect them and plastic solvent to melt the seams), but I was never able to get a perfect bond.........so, I decided to use the imperfections as realistic rust damage and paint them accordingly at the end.

Looking at this base coat, I know that will I still need to do some more sanding before I use the "Hammered Metal" spray paint (for texture) and then finish with olive green. It is a slow process because this is my first attempt at a semi scratch-built tank, but it is challenging and a lot of fun.
