I think that there is the mis-conception that flying a hover / torque roll in-close is a piece of cake, and is completely safe. Go check out the Beginners Forum and see the posts that talk about "catching" a 40 sized trainer, etc. A lot of intermediates and beginners must have the idea that one can just fly in low and pull a wall and catch the plane in mid-air. I don't know where they'd get that from though.
