I have a Beercat w about a dozen flights. Mine is very pleasant to fly at low and medium speed. Has a gentle stall with no tendancy to snap. Landings and take offs are easy and predictable. Plane will not want to land with a high idle. Flys at surprisingly low speeds. I have an old Enya 46 4C and that is plenty of power. Almost unlimited vertical. Ailerons are adequate but roll rate is not as quick as I expected. Elevator is also not especially sensitive. Rudder IS very powerfull. DO NOT use full rudder at low altitude or on take off. Try full rudder at some good altitude but if it is set to full throw (taps the elevator) the plane will SNAP right now! This bipe is not typical in that it doesn't slow down when you cut the power. It is clean and fast. At high speed it gets unstable in pitch (hunts up and down) so low hi-speed passes are not a good idea. I reduced elevator and added nose weight. Neither helped and the elevator was not enough at low speed for gentle landing. I reduced prop pitch to slow it down and that seems to be my best compromise (11.5/5 now). I like flying this plane and it gets a lot of attention. This plane has NO inherant stability so, like any aerobat you have to keep your eye on it and fly it all the time. A color scheme that clearly shows Top from Bottom is a good idea.
