The 65 is the same weight as the 100.
I think your right about the prop wash. It seems to be very jerky and touchy at low throttle, it'll start to drop a wing and before I can even start to correct for that, the other wing with dip down and most of this is at 1/4 or less throttle. I also think the high speed servos on the elevator and ailerons are way more than is needed. On high rates, the plane is almost to wild to keep under control. on my last flight yesterday, I actually had it snap out when I gave it full up elevator on high rates, I never had my first one do anything even close to that.
