I think you are flying too much with your high rates. You need to put a "lot of expo" to give it a much softer feel. You also need to take advantage of dual rates. Fly the plane mostly on the low rates and use the high rates for 3D maneuvers only. Then you will like it much better, after you get used to it. A good place to start is 35% of maximum for your low rates. Then use 40% expo on that to start. On high rates use 60% expo. Only use your high rates when hovering, flat spins, and waterfalls. Rolling circles, KE, and normal flying are all done on the low rates. You'll love the high rates once you do a blender or rising flat spins. They are impossible without the huge deflections and high speed.

You'll get used to it...then you'll never go back.
