PROTOS REVIEW
I got the protos buggy last week just to have something different and heres what i think about it so far. The overall lay out is simple and good and easy to work on .The durabilty is outstanding as ive hit and fliped the thing way more than i like to,with nothing breaking .The .28 is peppy and has good midrange and top end ,still working on the lowend. It is NOT A BEGENNER buggy !!!! This .28 is verry picky and will easly get out of wack ,but once set right it will FLY. I like the midrange needle as it will make a big difference in the topend speed and you can upgrade it to a 8 port and a 9 mm carb. Out of the box the shocks are weak, it may be the springs as i havent taken a shock off yet to see. Some alum adjustable shocks would be a big improvemt . It doesent steer worth a crap under full or even half throtle, im hopeing shocks will improve this. After 8 tanks, the soft tires are ripping apart from the rims in a bad way , this thing needs a harder tire and rocks of a small size will get stuck in the back rims, makeing for some nasty flips. Ive just started running traxxas top fuel 33% in it . The cooling head is huge and keeps it almost to cool so far 150 to 190. The overall speed is good it will get up and move even with the lowend not yet set right. This thing will eat up some fuel thoue, faster than i think it should. So far so good, ill update this post when i change some things around.
