The only thing I don't like in AeroFly Pro is primitive scenery (FMS type flying fields). The planes themselves are as good or even better than in G2. You can see landing gear bending on hard landings!
Regarding transmitter compatibility. When you buy AeroFly, it'll come with a little dongle, which connects your TX to PC's serial port. But that's not the only way to connect a TX. While the dongle is plugged to the serial port, you can connect any other TX-to-PC interface, like gameport cable sold at
http://www.milehighwings.com/joystick.htm , and control the sim using this other interface. I tried this with my Futaba 7UAP and it worked great.
