I'm getting a prop blancer from TH.If my prop is out of balance and I remove some material
Where do I remove it from?
If I get a ding in the leading edge and then finish it off the other side will be heavy.
Would I be better off just buying a new prop for $2.50?
So far all new props I picked up were all balanced nice.
Any suggestions?
Maybe forget the balance and stock up on props?
On APC props very little is needed normally to balance. First remove the mold flash which will really cut fingers or starter sticks. Don't remove material from the back of the prop as that is what sets the pitch. If needed just a little on the tip is all that is necessary. On wood props you can add paint (white tips help to see the spinning blade) however check after drying as the solvent will evaporate.

If you get a good ding in the prop for safety reasons discard it. A thrown blade can really ruin your (or someone else's) day.
