Sticky oil is Sticky oil! LOL ANY Air filter oil is good. Just be sure it's for air filters. Back in my lawn mower days we would oil the foam with motor oil. Vegatable oil is ONLY good for cooking! I've used a few drops of K&N on the top filter and the bottom filter never gets the least bit dirty.
