I like Paypal and have had no issues personally. It has been a fantastic tool for those of us buying from outside the US (I live in Canada). That said, they DID get nailed for some unfair or illegal pricing/fees practices in the US a year or two ago. I remember getting e-mail about it and the details of a class-action suit they settled. I don't recall exactly what transpired, but I think it related to overcharging fees to sellers.
