Wow,that was nice of them to replace the engine. I had OS 1.60 in a 12lb SU26,if I remember it swung an APC 18X6 @ well over 9K. I wasnt hovering much then but I remember it had good vertical and could hang for a while. If the Giant comes out 13lb or more,maybe the 1.60 wouldnt be best,at least SA 220,Moki 2.10 or small gasser. Ive seen a Vision @ 16lbs with DA50 and the owner swears its way too much power for it,hovers at idle almost. I wouldnt trust a 50cc on the airframe unless they changed the construction methods(for the better).I wish I had your problem,so many planes,so many engines,which one goes with witch?! Send the Giant to me,I'll figure it out-in the air! Now I wish they made a 1.20 sized Do,looks like the Giant is too small for gas,very expensive fuel & engines if glow. Anyway,if I ever get back to T/R tail touches with the new 60,I might not care about other planes.
