Default RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Mixmaster...

You are right, I have too many airplanes, although I only have 4 that are flyable right now. UCD 46, UCD 60, Velox RII, Ultra Stick Lite. I have the Giant on the floor waiting engine, and the CAP 232 waiting to be finished. All the others I have gave away or crashed. Mostly given away to friends.

Anyways, you are right I don't think I'll put the DA50 in the Giant. It weighs about 12lbs 4 ozs I think. I'll probably go back with the OS160. I started with a 18x6W and could only get about 7500 RPM. I went to a 17x6 and could only get about 8400. It should have done more than that. And then it seized. So...I think I'll go with the OS160 and see if I can get it to rev up a bit. Another choice would be the YS140 Sport engine. I would shave 10ozs weight and probably have more power at my elevation because the YS are supercharged. Otherwise I'll probably put a pump on the OS 160.

Anyways, I'll get going again here in a couple of weeks. Recently I've been so busy at work that it's been a problem getting to fly.

Thanks
Barry
