Hey Slick, you're welcome!! The radio signal will go through plastic, but not metal. The motors can cause interference. It's best to use all the antenna wire of the receiver. Just rout it around the insides and connect it to the antenna. The cool thing about the WSN T34 is that the hull has mounts to rout the whole length of the receiver's antenna prior to connecting it to the external wire antenna.
