im using an apc 17\6 on 10% spinning at around 9200 peak i think. i think the 17 4 is not enough, but still, even with the 17 4, your showtime should pull out nicely.

for harriers, i find i am giving all 4 inputs the whole time i am in a harrier. not just hold the elevator and drive around. maybe your plane is excessively heavy? that would explain the pullout problem along with the harrier problem. go up high and do a short dive. then pull 3d rate up elevator. if it floats nicely down, as mine does, and bubbagates had one that would do that, then you miight just need more inputs in your harriers. if you do that and it drops a wing and looks like a dead chicken falling out of the sky, maybe you are to heavy or have a severe mess up on the elevator halves sychronization.
