RE: airtronics RD6000 mode conversion help..
hi .. i think here in the uk most fly throttle left stick .. but some i know fly SPLIT stick .. throttle right + aileron with ele + rudder left !!! .. Its handy for precise rolls .. Personally i fly left stick ele+ail as i learnt on a 2ch 2 stick controller .. & went onto a 6ch & i kept it the same but added the aileron to the left stick. Lots & lots of people i meet think my set up is from another planet .. but ive put in hours of flying this way. The only manouvers i find harder is when the stick is towards the center of the box. because u are pushing the stick away .. i think this is the only drawback .. but even if i flew right stick .. the same thing would occur.
Ive heard this said before .. but flying left stick & being right handed gives u an advantage when launching on your own! .... great.
Anyhow i couldnt care less. Im getting back into it asap with some electric so hand lauching will be a doddle ..
