David, I am by no means an electric pattern technique expert but like you I have found the stall turns to be very different. However in some ways easier. All I do is leave a small amount of power on at the top of the maneuver as opposed to throttling all the way off. This creates more prop wash over the rudder. Remember, the electric idle rpm is much lower than glow and there is less effect from the prop wash as you approach the top of the maneuver.
Next time out, try a stall turn without ever completely throttling back. It will rotate quickly and clean much more easily than trying to do it like a glow powered model.
