Default RE: Dual tail or DD??

Its hit and mis with the GWS DD motors. My first on lasted 14 hours...the second lasted just under 6 hours.

I too use the OEM tail housing and simply dremmel the motor seat round (flat sided) and elongate on bolt hole. works like a charm and is much more robust than that GWS tail motor mount and fins (break if you look at them funny).

I was using the eflite 2 in 1 esc/mixer to run the brushed gws tail with a brushless himax 2015 3600 main. After the second motor, I went to the feigao 12mm long can with the gws prop adaptor and a gws 4530 prop. electrifly 12a esc, GY240 gyro (hh needed for brushless tail).

No more problems.

I too love the smaller size of the DD props and find it stays out of the dirt and grass much better. If you stall a brushed motor under power, your gonna kill it or shorten the life at least.

You can buy allot of gws dd motors for the price of the brushless setup. aprox. 1/3 will be bad...
