I started with one of those little two channel jobs as well, you do not really need much training or instruction, your problem was too much wind I would be willing to bet.

You will get good at fixing that little plane, because there will be a number of those type of crashes. Once you get bit by the bug to fly you will move up to bigger, much more complex and powerful aircraft, then you will have a ton of money and time invested and you will need to get some instruction on how to fly a real plane, not the toy you have there.

The real ones weigh a lot more, fly about 10 X faster and require more skills to keep in the air.
