Default RE: Gas engine

Cary: Thanks for the info however I have been converting Weedwackers to to RC plane engines for years and yes Ryoby makes one of the best engines and especially when you can strip one of there weed eaters in 30 minutes and have it mounted in less than an hour. I have scratch built a high wing plane that had a 72" WS and it weighed 17 lbs and flew it with a 18cc poulin. That was before I got into the ryobi's. Ryobi is also the same company that makes the Zenoah Kamatzu G-23 and the G-26. It is the same engine found in weed wackers. The only differance is the way they mount the Carb. If you want to see what one of my engines looks like, U can go to the ads and look for Zenoah G-23. I have 3 of them for sale ready to mount on a plane. I will have 3 G-26's on RCU tomorrow. The reason that I had to inquire about the O & R is that I have never seen one this small and am trying to ID it for a smaller plane. I think it is a 18cc leaf blower. I plan on pulling the head and doing some calibrations to see what CC irt really is. I only need the carb for it however having said that, I think I have some Glow carbs that may work?????????. The only problem with the 31CC weedwackers is the rear Carb. It is a reed valve set up and the carb would sit back into the Fuse and would be tough to get at for adjustment. I haven't been out looking at the Ryobi market for a couple of years and maybe they have rectified that problem with a standard weedwacker. Also Ryobi makes a 28cc side mount carb that is on a weed blower. Stay in touch and agian thanks for the info and it is well taken.
