Default RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

Im actually going to the 3 in 1 setup in a couple weeks and going brushless.
You can and you can't. The HH gyro is a drop in by turning the gain off on the 3-in-1, however to go brushless you have to add a BL esc. If you want a BL tail, that's two BL esc's. Now I'm not necessarily saying that's a bad thing, but going BL I'd just use all separates since you have to add it all anyway. The only advantage to using the 3-in-1 for BL is for people without their own radio because the mixing is preprogrammed. With your own Tx you don't use the mixing anyway. I would like to be wrong on this because the Horizon site says absolutely nothing about what it takes to go BL, but any info I've found on the threads says you need separates.

James....Anywhere near the other Jacksonville? Love to hook up and fly[8D] I'll be there this weekend.

Synister....You can pick up the unmarked 1100's from Heli direct for around $20. I've been using them for around six months and love them. One caution though. They are only 7C so you wouldn't want them for any 3D, but if you're only playing around with normal flight or in the house they're perfect (and cheap). I just got a 2200 hextronic in today from unitedhobbies.com. Haven't flown on it yet, but for $29 it was cheap and should be perfect for the blade if I can't use it in my rex. I have been using Apex 2300's in my rex, they were 2/$99 (All of these lipos have the balance plug). The main thing I would suggest is a good charger, not a cheapy. I personally feel that's the reason I've had such success with all my lipos.

Just so you other guys don't feel left out, I started with 2s TP's and still use them in my smaller heli and my planks. (going on two years of steady use)
