RE: Stryker Brushless help! Motor suggestions.
I put that Six-series 2000kv in my Stryker and I like it. The stock motor mount only needed a little modification. Sanded out the rear ring a bit and cut off the front ring. I then ran a zip tie around the loose end of the motor, through the foam and looped around the bottom plate of the motor mount. You may have to slide a thin shim or something under the motor to get the proper thrust line. Overall it was really easy and the motor has tons of power on a 6x5.5 prop. Horizon recommends the 7 inch props, but I've found the current draw was way too high. I believe Horizon is putting a 1880kv version of this motor in the F-27C? Seems about right, mine might be reaching 80mph but I haven't clocked it. It's plenty fast for me at least.
