I have to dissagree with your math Agexpert (and I am probably wrong as usual )
Each cell in the pack are rated at 1600 mah.
Pack 1 should discharge the 1600 mah @ 500 ma in just over 3 hours @ 9.6 volts nominal.
Pack 2 with 4 cells should still be a 1600 mah pack and disharge in the same 3 hour period @ 4.8 volts.
Neither pack showed full potential.
