and remember jeff, you are sharing the track with other racers. so yes u can run your own race, and if you really dont care and just want to cycle around, why not let someone pass?

its not easy passing on the outside in the dirty/loose or bumpy areas, if someone doesnt slow down to let you pass.

you will get much more respect that way
