Aaah we all put that clutch in backwards at some point mate - you were just brave enough to post your mistake though! You just have to remember that the spur picks up the clutch, rather than the clutch picking up the spur - if that makes sense... which it probably doesnt.

As for the wifey - you could try the "We both need our own interests and space" technique. "For the benefit of the marriage."

Just stay out of reach when you suggest it (probably best attempted after sharing a bottle of wine)

To try to avoid reverse clutching it, I have a couple of marks on my clutches that line up with the brake disc tabs, its a sure give away as to which way it goes, without having to use my brain...
