Default Byron Fan, OS 91 DF, what pipe???

The weston is a great set up for the f-16. When I built mine, I mounted the front retract in a ply tray to the bottom of the air ducting. A 1/2 diameter dowel sits just above the retract body and keeps the fuselage from absorbing the shock when landing. A robart strut is attached to the retract wire. Nice thing about this set up is my front gear is much shorter and mine tracks very smoothly down the runway without the byron boogie effect. Bad thing about the weston on the F-16 that I ran into is using spring air retracts. The two outlet pipe blows the hot fuel residue on my retract cylinders and it shrunk the o rings in the cylinders. Good thing they were spring air. I now rotate the pipe so that the outlets avoid direct contact with the retract mechanism. I can provide a picture of my front gear set-up for anyone that would like to see it. Jim
