I suggest that - based on where you live - you go to The Prop Shop on Van Dyke in Warren (just north of Nine Mile Road) and chat with the folks there. They will be able to show you some variations and they probably have everything that you need.

Just as importantly, they can probably suggest local clubs where you can get good instruction so that your experience is positive. Without proper instruction )with an instructor present and on a buddy box) the chances are very high that you will crash and lose interest in the hobby.
