Here's my version of a balsa cowl on the SE. I'd never done a cowl like this before so I just copied what a friend has on a scratch built plane. The right side still needs some work but it is pretty much open; it has to be to be able to remove & install the engine. I'm not completely happy with the way it turned out but it should work OK for a first attempt.
