I would use 3M #924 Transfer tape on that. It is very light and works well. I have been using it on foam wings for over 15 years. Get the 3/4 inch and lay it on in strips to cover the entire surface. Use a thin bead of white glue on the leading edge to make sure it doesn't come loose while you glue on the LE. It does not have the tape like most. When you peel the back, it only leave the glue and it works very very well. Almost no weight to it and is way cleaner and safer than spray glue.
