Yes, the simulator MAY help some in real life, but you still need real world stick time before moving to the Extra. It's becoming apparent that what we are telling you isn't' what you want to hear, but that doesn't mean that it's not the truth. Between the people that have given you advice here there are literally over a hundred years of experience, they are trying to help you. If you don't want to wait then go ahead and fly the Extra, but make sure you take along a good size trash bag to bring it back in. If you don't want to bring a bag then slow down and get some AIRPLANE experience under your belt before you fly the Extra.

I'm speaking from experience. My 3rd plane was an Extra 300. While I was capable of "flying" it and getting it back down, I was never really in control of it. They plane was flying me every time I was in the air, meaning that I just didn't have the experience to fly it. Yes, I crashed it. There is a huge difference between flying the airplane and being true control of it. True control comes from experience. Trust me on this one
