Default RE: SIG (Herr Engineering) Little Something Extra

I have the Herr SE and just love it. But it needs some serious power to really get the grin factor up!

You can see my review (posted above) and see that it does very well with the MPJet motor and 10x7 prop. On 3s LiPoly I am pulling about 23 amps.

It goes very nicely with that setup.

I think the power 10 would be perfect. Just prop it for 22-25 amps and I think you will be very happy. This will keep you with a 25-30amp ESC too. I use 3s 2100 Thunder Power packs.

In fact the higher kV of that motor will help. That 10x7 is really large, and even when I scooted the motor up a bit it only has 1/2" clearance. I would suspect your motor will use a 8x6-9x6 prop to get you in that amp range. That will be better for the short gear the plane has....

Even with my heavy motor (about the same weight as the power 10) I need the battery right up against the firewall.

My review has all those details - but the SE planes are just about my favorite RC fliers ever. The 40 size ship was likely my all time favorite RC plane....not bad as I have been doing this for a few years now!

Let me know how it flies with that motor!
