RE: 1.5 gram adjustable voltage regulator for lipo reciever pack
The nicest part of this converter is that it already works with 1 Lipo cell.
But.......I still hang on to my "old"setup for the following reasons:
1- it is cheaper. Under 5 $ for the 3 electronic parts. (I found out the connectors I used were more expensive)
2- it is also light. 5 grams including wires and connectors. Less than 2 grams without wiring .
3- Buck regulators are very efficient but also switch on a relatively high frequency (this one uses 550kHz). This might cause problems with your RX or servos if not well blocked/ filtered.
If I am going to use one of these I first want to try it on a sloooooow electric powered small and light plane. Safety first!
