Jonny, I used the toothpicks on a standard AA. No souped up motors. I started noticing that the props were eating the wings on my second 06 AA. Generally I just tape up the holes in the lower wing. On the mono with winglits, they were actually cutting the winglets in two. I guess I should try it on the mono/jet. Tim

As for winter, it's always windy here so I'm not worried about that. When rainy season gets here, that will be a bit of an impedement. But traditionally, that starts in November. And ends in february. Oh well, I'll worry about that when I have to. Tim
