yesterday mine started leaning on me with my 61FX, and on one low pass the engine went from max RPM to dead, no hesitation.

I had enough speed to do a big banked turn (I love this plane's stall characteristics) and get turned upwind and glide althe way to the far end of the runway before rolling into the tall grass. Upon inspection, my Slimline F1 fueler cap had fallen out. That was the least of my worries though because I could see that everything inside the cowl was coated with fuel and oil.

Turns out that my fuel tank stopper had worked loose - I initially thought I had a leak in my tank right at the neck - cause when I filled the tank fuel would pour out the hole int he firewall.

Am I the only one that noticed that the stock fuel tank doesn't seem to really fit between the firewall and the F1 former without a lot of muscle involved?


Also - mine, and a buddies both had issues with the 2nd and 3rd formers in the fuse coming ungled from the sides of the plane - a little epoxy and tri-stock is a quick cure.
