Default bcma 40cc for 13lb. plane?

what kind of planes are people using for the bcma 40cc engine? what's the all up weight and how does it perform?

i'm thinking of matching up this engine with the pacific aeromodels 25% katana. the advertised weight of the katana is 12 lbs. but that's with a large glow engine. with gas, i think it will be closer to 13 lbs.

this will be my first gasser. do you think this will have enough power for 3d for this plane? i need something that will pull out of a hover with authority, and for down low hovering without worries. if this engine really produces 20lbs of thrust, it'll be a little less than 2 to 1 power to weight ratio.

does anyone actually have this engine and can comment on it?

my other alternative is a DA 50cc engine, but it's about twice the price! and it'll be heavier too (dont know by how much though....)
