Default RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?

ORIGINAL: jephry

Hi guys need advise on the engine and prop size.

1-If i mount a OS91FX what would the prop size, can a 10x7p be used?
2-Would a OS 50fx be enough power for this kitty?
1) IMO OS91FX the would be too heavy, about 8 oz more than 50SX adding at least 4 oz of nose weight total 12 oz or more, & requires 14x6 pusher prop ground clearance issues arise. Then you would need a larger fuel tank or fly a shorter flight.

2) 50SX is a good choice quality engine and plenty of power. Note this plane was designed for a .45-.50 2-stroke. Mine flys very well with a Dub Jett .50
