Not sure what planes are available on your side of the pond but if you have not flown before you will need some sort of trainer. Since your dad flies he probably belongs to a club there and he/they should know what you need and can afford to spend. Welcome to RC flying and I hope you get flying soon. By "little picture" do you mean the "avitar" under the "basic member" sign over on the left of the posts?
