Default Saying hello and looking forward to suggestions

Hello

I'm your new friend here. Trying to learn RC Flying (electric).

First of all, RCUniverse.com is a great place for RC flyers, certainly for those who do not have a local RC club. I am able to find very helpful stuff here. Please keep this great website going on, I'm going to need your expert advice.

Okay,

I got this electric airplane Fly Fairy Phantom from a local hobby shop. There were mostly helicopters in that shop. Some trainer airplanes and few jets.

Manufacturer: Chuang Long (Chinese co., no info. on Google)

Wing Span: 800 mm
Length: 750 mm
Wing Area: 88000 mm
Weight: 240 g
Unknown Radio System: MS-TX005B (Written on Tx Circuit Board, couldnt find a record on Google)
Frequency: 40MHz (I admit that I dont know what difference is between 40 and 75, which I read on sites)
Battery: U&T Ni-MH - 28A1000mAh 4.8V

The shopkeeper wanted me to buy a jet. I had read on-line that jets are speedy and hard to control. Since I want to do everything step by step. I bought a trainer plane with more wing area. Although I was amazed to see its tail. It's a simple rod. I have attached the pictures.
It took me 30 minutes to assemble it while the Manual says "Get your airplane ready to fly in 5 minutes".

First Flight
Air was almost still. Battery was charged. Tried my best to throw the plane horizontally but I made a mistake, nose was slightly upwards and I launched with greater force (I had no idea how much force would be required.)
It went up like a rocket and came back like a meteor. I picked up the battery 8 meters away from the airplane and landing gear from 3 meters.

I tried again, little push this time and it went better. I saw that the airplane is rolling to right side. Before I could do anything to stabilize it, it was again on ground. So I came back home.

Second Flight
I noticed that one end of rod (tail) that is attached with fuselage is loose. I tightened that. Next I placed two antibiotic capsules with tape on the upper side of the left wing tip. [8D]

That time, when I launched, the balance was perfect. I could feel the airplane flying straight and climbing. But the problem occured when it was 12-15 feet high from ground and 35 meters away from where I was standing. What happened was that the sound of motors reduced too much and it started to land. Since the balance was fine at that time so it landed peacefully.

It has been a week now since I am trying to know that what actually causes the motors to almost stop when the distance reaches around 33 meters. Could that be the low quality radio system? Because when I go near to it, motors sound perfect and I can feel throttle.

All I have done so far is landing practise for it wont climb more than 15 feet. When it starts climbing, it is out of range.

Kindly requesting your comments and suggestions.

Regards
