Default RE: which hpi drift tyre

Hey man I just want to apologize for the way I acted in that other thread. I tried not to argue but I got outta hand. Youre smarter than I thought you were.

I say stick with a drift Tire with a bit of grip, I've tried with rings and with ABS; neither of which provide any traction.

If you have a very short attention span then get something with no grip, like ABS, as you'll be chuffed. But I found this to be extremely boring. The lack of grip means the whole thing from begining to end looks completely unrealistic. Nothing like scale drifting but more like something is wrong with the car. Or you're driving on ice or something.

For scale-looking drifts go with HPI or (like many) use the Tamiya drift wheels. These provide straight line grip = Speed and the ability to let you 'drift' around corners.

If I'm honest I would say the whole scene has gone mad and forgotten what full scale drifting looks like.

Go with Grip!! Learn how to drift Properly!
